My Internship Experience at Quips.app
During my internship at Quips.app, I had the unique opportunity to help shape the brand’s visual identity. While confidentiality limits me from sharing UI or UX details, I’m excited to discuss how I contributed to the overall branding, including logo design and typography.
Role & Responsibilities
As a UX design intern, my responsibilities focused on establishing a cohesive visual language that resonated with our target audience. In collaboration with the founding team, I:
Clarified the brand’s vision to ensure every design element reflected Quips.app’s values.
Explored various design concepts that balanced a playful tone with professional appeal.
Iterated on multiple ideas to refine the brand identity, ensuring consistency and clarity.
Logo Design & Iterations

One of my key tasks was to develop the Quips.app logo—a process that involved:
Initial Brainstorming & Sketching: I explored different shapes, color gradients, and star motifs to capture the brand’s lively spirit.
Refining Through Feedback: By presenting multiple iterations, I incorporated team insights to enhance recognizability and visual harmony.
Finalizing the Logo: The resulting design is vibrant, approachable, and reflects the energetic personality of Quips.app.
This iterative approach guaranteed a unique final logo aligned with the brand’s essence.
Font Choices & Branding

Typography plays an essential role in defining Quips.app’s voice. To create a consistent and appealing look:
Font Selection: I curated modern, versatile typefaces (such as Inter, Helvetica, and Open Sans) in various weights to balance clarity with personality.
Readability & Appeal: By focusing on line spacing, hierarchy, and color contrasts, I ensured the text remained legible across different applications.
Brand Cohesion: These choices, paired with vibrant gradients and star motifs, helped establish a unified visual identity.
Final Thoughts
Although I can’t reveal UI or UX specifics, my time at Quips.app was instrumental in honing my branding and visual storytelling skills. The experience taught me how to align a brand’s core values with every design decision—a lesson I carry forward in all my creative endeavors.
