About Me

Hi! My name is Nikola Lubura but I go by Niko. I'm a Canadian designer and creative technologist born in Montenegro and raised in the Balkans. 

In 2025 I will graduate from the University of Regina where I pursued a formal education in UI and UX design, Logo, Visual Language, Font, and other multimedia frameworks. I will have earned a bachelor's in Arts from the Media, Arts and Performance department with a concentration in Creative Technology. 

I’ve designed well over 200 different applications, logos and websites in my time at the University of Regina, both as a part of my studies and in my free time, employing philosophy, theory and psychology.

Using the skills I have developed, I also effectively advised individuals on how to build social media in the future. This all led me to become a social media consultant for t2 and Pebble Social, which were social media companies started by former Twitter, and Google employees. There I advised on design, logo work, icons and other visual language which was presented both to the users, and staff.

Lastly, I am also writing a research paper about the ethics of social media, and AI for my blog and social news site created by my friends and coworkers. Taking a deep and concentrated look into the very core of AI, and companies like Meta, OpenAI, and Microsoft as well as journalistic publications like The New York Times, and The Way Back Machine.
